Terms of Service

Effective October 2026

These terms cover your use of Veml (veml.io), run by David Ray in Palm Harbor, Florida, USA. By using Veml you agree to them. Questions? Contact us.

1. What Veml does

Veml checks email lists. It looks at each address's format, common typos, whether the domain exists and can receive mail, the domain's public registration status, parked domains, known throwaway domains, shared inboxes and random-looking usernames. Addresses that pass those basic checks get a live mailbox check through our verification partner. You get a status and a plain-English reason for each address. How it works has the details.

2. Pricing and payment

You pay once per check, in US dollars, by card through Stripe. There's no account and no subscription. Current prices are on the pricing page. Every address in your list counts after exact duplicates are removed, whatever its result. We may change prices, but never for a check you've already paid for.

3. Your balance

If your list is smaller than the size you paid for, the unused part stays as a balance for 30 days in the same browser. Clearing your browser data, using a private window or switching computers means that browser can't see it. Email us with your Stripe receipt and we'll restore it or refund the unused part. Unused balance expires after 30 days.

4. Refunds

See our refund policy.

5. No guarantee of delivery

Results are an assessment based on how mail servers respond at the time of the check. Mail servers can be wrong, can change, or can refuse to answer. Some accept every address (catch-all), which is why some results are Risky or Unknown. A Passed result does not guarantee your email will be delivered.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

You're responsible for following CAN-SPAM, GDPR and any other laws that apply to the email you send. Checking an address doesn't give you permission to email it.

7. Your list

Your list stays yours. You give us permission to process it only to provide your check. Our privacy policy explains what happens to it.

8. Limits of liability

Veml is provided as is, to the extent the law allows. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the check involved.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
