Veml is run by David Ray in Palm Harbor, Florida, USA. This page explains what happens to your email list and your information when you use Veml. If you have a question, contact us.

The short version

What happens to your list

When you upload or paste a list, your browser reads the file. The file itself isn't uploaded to us. To run the checks, parts of it are sent out:

What we keep, and for how long

What's saved in your browser

Your pasted list, your settings, your balance and your last results are saved in your own browser (using browser storage called localStorage and IndexedDB). That's how Veml can resume a check and show your results again without an account. They stay there until you click Start over or clear your browser data.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. From Stripe, Veml sees your email address, your name, the amount and the last 4 digits of your card. We never see your full card number.

Hosting and fonts

Veml is hosted on Cloudflare, which logs IP addresses and browser details to deliver the site and keep it secure. The page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google.

Contact messages

If you send us a message through the contact form, we store it on our server for up to 1 year so we can reply and keep a record of support requests.

Cookies

Veml has no accounts and uses no advertising or analytics cookies.

Who we share information with

We never sell or rent your list or your information, and we don't use it for marketing. We share it only with the service providers named on this page, to run your check and take payment, or if the law requires it.

Your responsibilities

Only upload lists you're allowed to process. Checking an address doesn't give you permission to email it. When you send, follow the rules that apply to you, such as the US CAN-SPAM Act, and get consent where the law requires it.

Your requests

To ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted, contact us or email [email protected]. We'll reply within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
